About me
Rocio Drye is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Pupil Personnel Service Credential. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Fullerton, and her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Rocio has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTP), and the Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR), where she focused on Unaccompanied Undocumented Youth.
For the past four years, Rocio has worked as a mental health therapist for the Banning Unified School District, where she provides direct therapeutic services to students and collaborates with school staff to address the mental health needs of youth. In her role as an Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) therapist, Rocio conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and offers both individual and group therapy to students with emotional and behavioral challenges. She also works closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive environment that fosters academic and emotional success.
Rocio also served as a Field Instructor for the Arizona State University Social Work Department, guiding and supporting students during their social work internships. Although she received her license in February 2021, Rocio has extensive experience providing trauma-focused services to individuals facing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.
Rocio believes that lasting change occurs when individuals are supported in recognizing and utilizing their own strengths, empowering them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
