Tricia Favela, LCSW Mental Health Therapist, Banning Unified School District
Tricia Favela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work degree from California State University, San Bernardino in 2016. She began her career in Child Welfare, supporting children and families impacted by poverty, substance use, mental health challenges, and abuse. In 2023, she obtained her Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) from San Jose State University and transitioned into school-based mental health.
As a Mental Health Therapist at Banning Unified School District, Tricia works with students and staff to address a wide range of needs including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, and social-emotional development. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, with a strong emphasis on empathy, collaboration, and student empowerment. Tricia is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces where students feel heard, supported, and empowered to thrive.
