Vicki is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both California and Virginia and is the Founder of Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers, Inc. (ECTC) and Encouragers Family Counseling Inc. (EFC). Vicki has over 25 years of experience working as an advocate for victims of crime, including domestic violence, rape, child abuse, adolescent conduct disorders, and working with the criminally insane. She has been a courtroom professional expert on the topic of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for victims of rape, domestic violence, sex-trafficked individuals, and those struggling with drug, alcohol, substance abuse, and sexual addiction, in both in-patient and out-patient residential treatment centers. Vicki provides Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to foster care agencies and group homes, and currently works with Veterans, Victims of Crime, Military, and First Responders coping with PTSD and addiction. She is also a practicum site educator for over a dozen universities across America, teaching graduate students (Interns) and post-graduate (Associates) cutting-edge methodologies of clinical care. Vicki is the author of the book LIVE INTENTIONAL and maintains a blog where she offers nuggets of wisdom on mental health issues and a variety of life topics—all aimed at helping others become “the best person you can be.”
